The Production Association «Uralvtorchermet» (Vtorchermet NLMK) was founded in Russia in 1998 as a holding comprising metal scrap preparation and processing enterprises. The structure of the Production Association «Uralvtorchermet» consisted of CJSC «Sverdlvtormet», CJSC «Permvtormet», CJSC «Vtormet» (Kurgan Region), CJSC «Tyumenvtormet», JSC «Vtormet» (Tomsk Region), JSC «Udmurtvtormet», JSC «Chuvashvtormet» – large scrap processing enterprises with a long history, that were part of the system «Sojuzvtorchermet» established in time when domestic metal processing industry started to develop.
At present the association «Uralvtorchermet» enterprises are located in more than 30 Russian regions, where iron-and-steel scrap is collected and processed by approximately 200 production sites. Association «Uralvtorchermet» is a large player in Russian iron-and-steel scrap market.
The association «Uralvtorchermet» is a raw material division of JSC «Maxi-Group» that provides its metallurgical plants with scrap.
A complex development program aimed to increase a number of «Uralvtorchermet» enterprises in Russian regions and CIS countries, to modernize the production facilities on the enterprises, to increase their economical activity effectiveness, is being implemented on «Uralvtorchermet» enterprises.

Equipping of scrap processing procedures with such types of machines is an important stage in development of the Production Association «Uralvtorchermet» allowing to come closer to European type of production technology. An active use of scrap carriers and motor transport equipped with manipulator increases a mobility of scrap preparation sites of the Production Association «Uralvtorchermet».
Arrangement of scrap processing work, new equipment start-up and its maintenance require relevant training of Production Association «Uralvtorchermet» specialists that is being actively implemented on the enterprise.
